  5. Karnataka – Gadag, Raichur, Gulbarga, Bidar, Dharwad
  6. Rajasthan – Tonk, Kota, Baran, Jhalawar, Ajmer
  7. Telangana – Adilabad, Warangal

Production trend and Stock position:

  • According to Ministry of Agriculture, the sowing acreage of overall Pulses as on September 06, 2019 was 130.04 lakh hectares (lh) down by 1.95 percent compared to 132.63 lh during the corresponding period.
  • As per the Ministry of Agriculture fourth advance estimate FY 2018-19 released on August 19, 2019, Bengal Gram production was 10.13 Mn MT compared to FY 2017-18 which was 11.38 Mn MT, down 10.98 percent.
  • Stock positions of Bengal Gram were down by 19.99 percent held at National Commodity Clearing Limited (NCCL) approved warehouses at Bikaner, Indore and Jaipur locations. The stocks held as on September 10, 2019 was 61,498 MT compared to 76,860 MT as on August 29, 2019.
